The second and final installment in the two-book series, Apocalypse Chronicles...

Kennedy and Harrison's fate is uncertain now that they have been forced into a landscape swarming with Infected. Yet, with her military background and his superhuman abilities, they begin to rescue survivors while they search for one person in particular...a scientist capable of developing a cure. What they are not prepared to find is the truth...that both play far greater roles than either ever imagined in their attempt to save humankind.

Bestselling author Laury Falter finishes off this two-part series—a dystopian romance filled with an electrifying plot, a powerful romance, and unexpected twists.

Resurrection Apocalypse Chronicles Part II eBook Laury Falter

After watching The Walking Dead, this series seems to pick up too many things from the show. The biggest for me was the use of a secure reform school as home base (the prison in the graphic novels/tv series of TWD). I also have to say the the overdone tension between Kennedy and Harrison was a bit much for me. I knew I was reading YA post-apocalyptic fiction, but after the third of fourth time Kennedy and Harrison decide that time is precious and short and that they shouldn't waste it--only to end up arguing and not speaking for days or weeks got old. Like, really old. It also seemed that none of the other characters ever developed until the very last few pages and only in trivial ways. It would have been cathartic for Beverly to lose some more of her edge. Or for Mei and Doc to have openly become a couple. (Are they or are they not..? The books never really said.) I just wanted more character evolution and dimension from the main 5 than Laury gave. *Sigh*

I liked the series, it was an easy, quick read. And I like Faulter, but this wasn't her best work. I got the first book free through my Kindle Unlimited subscription, but paid $5.99 for the second installment. I'm too neurotic to leave a series open-ended, but also upset I spent $6 on a mediocre conclusion to the series.

Maybe you'll feel differently, but I had expected a bit more from this set of books than was delivered.

Resurrection Apocalypse Chronicles Part II eBook Laury Falter Reviews

i really enjoyed "Haven", written well in true-to-Falter style. Harrison and Kennedy continue their search for a cure while fighting the infected. Its a good continuation, though the fighting scenes get a little redundant. There is an unexpected twist that keeps the plot moving. The last few chapters do keep you on the edge of your seat and though it's a little hokey, it ends well.
Looking forward to reading more of Falter's nivels.
This is interesting and it has a great ending. Yes, the world is different and yes the characters are majorly out of their league however they grew from that. I was impressed with the story and how it developed. I admired the characters and thought the author did a wonderful job. I believe there is different ways to change a story and this is one of those times and I was amazed especially with this type of genre.
I don't normally go in for "end of life as we know it's kind of books, but I became hooked reading a tester in one of the authors previous books. I found this to be a really good story with believable characters. There were a few "walking dead" moments, but forgivable. The romance within the story was just enough, I hate it when the romance gets to sappy, and added to the story rather than the story just being a convenient backdrop for teenage love.
I enjoy reading the whole series, hard to put down! The author keeps you in an non stop wandering what would happens to the characters. I recommend the whole series to teenagers and young adults and adults no matter age.
I'm so glad I read this series. I love both the heroine and the hero. I love their core group of people. I'm glad that Ms. Falter didn't hate her main female lead or have the hero be a macho jerk. I'm glad that the core group was just that- a group that trusted each other absolutely. I love how this book ended. It shows that we, the people, can still have hope in the face of adversary. My favorite thing about this book- Ms. Falter told an excellent story in just two books!!! Thank you, Ms. Falter, for everything I mentioned.

This book does contain romance and sensuality. I would compare it to Meyer's "Twilight", the book version.
I thought that the story was really good. I loved resolution in the story. I also loved how the characters evolved through the story.

The only bone I have to pick is with Kennedy's willingness to sacrifice herself, or put others in danger for Harrison. I feel that her training by her dad should have made her realize how important it is for them to remain incognito in certain situations. I don't know, just seemed odd but then it would've changed certain situations and probably wouldn't have been as interesting.

All in all, a great book. Loved that it was only a 2 book series. I finished both books in about 4 days because I couldn't stop reading. I probably would've read them all night if I didn't have work!
As usual, Laury Falter never disappoints! I have rad every book she's put out and constantly recommend them to anyone and everyone. She's a seriously talented author and on my Top 3. Resurrection pulls you in and keeps you captivated, on the edge of your seat (and awake till 2am because you can't put it down) waiting to find out what happens next. I gave it 4 out of 5 purely because it was so good I think it would have benefited from being stretched out into 3 books instead of just 2 but this is purely a personal preference. From experience with this author, if she felt it needed to be just 2 then she had her reasons. Also the ending was a little iffy for me.. I felt like it ended a little suddenly but again this is purely my 100% honest opinion and I know she appreciates that -) However given those things, I will still recommended it to ANYone and EVERYone, it Turkey another amazing story by an amazing author. I wasn't at all disappointed and cannot wait until her next novel!
